Monumentality & Modernity

 

The Greek temple it’s an open volumetric structure, the interior it’s not enclosed from the exterior by continuos walls, instead, insert itself in natural, atmospheric and luminous space with rhythm and repetition of plastic forms and intervals.
Argan once wrote something similar in one his book about Italian Art and History, but we can’t avoid relate it with most of Niemeyer buildings in Brasilia, Brazil. .
