Rino Levi was born in São Paulo on December 31, 1901. The son of Italian parents, he went to Rome to study architecture, graduating in 1926. The architect is one of the exponents of modern architecture in Brazil and one of the responsible for the transformation of the architecture of the city of Sao Paulo.
Rino, besides his architectural production, designed iconic furniture that dialogued with his designs of buildings and the demands of the time for furnishing and decorating the modern Brazilian house.
Rino Levi died on September 29, 1965, accompanying Burle Marx on a botanical expedition in the interior of Bahia, in "Morro do Chapéu".
