These armchairs are a gorgeous version of Concha, one of the most iconic pieces designed by Martin Eisler and Carlo Hauner, with a single seat and backrests made with wicker.
"Concha" is the Portuguese word for "Shell" and the name is apparent in the design. The armchair was created in 1953 and produced by Móveis Artesanal and then Forma S.A. Móveis e Objetos de Arte.
Eisler’s ingenious design enabled multiple variations on the same iron base, from woven cane to upholstered or leather-strapped versions, all expressing his mastery of proportion, lightness, and material exploration.
A timeless icon of mid-century Brazilian design, the Concha armchair embodies the elegance, comfort, and inventive spirit that define Eisler’s enduring legacy.
