This square side table with iron structure and Marfim wood top is a rare piece designed by Carlo Hauner (1927-1997) for "Móveis Artesanal" by 1948. The gorgeous piece stands out by its delicateness, with a small square top resting over a cross-shaped feet basis.
Moveis Artesanal was a pioneer company in uniting interior designs and furniture production in series, founded by Carlo Hauner, who soon joined with Martin Eisler and Ernesto Wolf.
The company, formerly called Pau Brasil, was owned by Lina Bo Bardi and her husband, Pietro Maria Bardi. After the acquisition by Hauner, Eisler and Wolf became part of the company, with Sergio Rodrigues in the interior design department and Georgia Hauner as a set designer for the store and store windows, bringing a lot of innovations for the furniture sector at the time.
The piece presents a rare manufacturing stamp from Móveis Artesanal.
