The elegance, a feature of Zalszupin designs, on this piece does not come from sculpted wood details or the delicacy and lightness of curves, but the well-shaped solid structure: an extremely comfortable sofa carved in a cube.
For reupholstering this pair, inspired by the 1970s aesthetics, we chose a vibrant green velvet. The shape followed archival references.
Zalszupin's work as a designer, entrepreneur, and manager is an example of a transition process from the artisanal production mode, with unique and custom pieces, to serial industrial production. The Polish-born Brazilian designer focused mainly on acquiring and using new technologies and materials to make serial production viable. These pieces are a gorgeous example of his inventive mind.
Pieces can be reupholstered according to the customer's taste; upholstery service by our Workshop is included as a courtesy.
