Andrea Bandoni

Overview

About

Andrea is Master in Conceptual Design graduated at Design Academy Eindhoven (Netherlands) and Architect graduated at FAU USP (Brazil). Her main projects involve objects and spaces, but in general works are transdiciplinary and include anthropology, arts, tecnology and education. She had projects exhibited and acquired by museums and galeries in Brazil, Netherlands, France, Italy, Switzerland, UK and China. Her works were published in relevant books and magazines, and in 2012 she was awarded Young Creative Entrepreneur (Design Category) by the British Council, entering the network with the most prominent agents of the Creative Economy in the world. She believes design has to add something relevant to our over-saturated world. Design not only as aesthetics, but also as a carrier of stories and experiences. Objects and spaces as human extensions that stimulate a critical view and offer new perspectives. In her work, sustainability is a recurrent theme seen in an analytical and broad sense: besides the materials it also relates to processes and meanings; therefore all the life cycle and the context of a project are taken into consideration.
