Understanding glass as a malleable material inspired Lucas Recchia to create his Morfa series. Although glass is Recchia’s primary work material, the Morfa side tables can also be produced in bronze and aluminum – exploiting their physical properties.
The Morfa collection comprises five models, which vary in size and shape. However, the metal side tables are only available in Morfa nº 01, the first model created within the series.
Bronze is considered one of the oldest metallic alloys in humanity and is historically the most used material in sculpture production. Its great popularity is due to its enormous structural strength, the ease of casting, and the incredible versatility of finishes. This sculptural side table in the photos is made of unpolished bronze, and brings its gorgeous rough details.
Like glass, the process of fusing metal is handmade, allowing variations in color, texture, and slight changes in size and weight.
Morfa nº 01 has a variation of two sizes and can be produced in glass, aluminum, or bronze. All pieces in this series are indicated for indoor use, such as side or coffee tables.
The side tables Morfa have the following finishes options: Transparent glass, Amber glass, Wine glass, Blue glass, Green glass, Grey glass, Polished Aluminum, Unpolished Aluminum, Polished bronze, Unpolished bronze, and fused glass.
