The Renata armchair was designed in 1996 for the small movie theater of an entertainment pavilion at Fazenda do Cachoeirão, in southern Minas Gerais. At the time, only 14 pieces were made for the client, plus one for Sergio Rodrigues’ personal collection, whose structure remained incomplete in his studio’s storage. Archival photographs found at the Instituto Sergio Rodrigues and the remaining structure made it possible to recover the design.
