The piece is composed of a solid Pau-Marfim wood structure and two independent volumes for the seat and backrest, both attached to the wood structure using screws.
This design comprises a comfortable shape with extremely curved forms that perfectly fit the body. The armrests are formed by the extension of the seat, making this piece a straightforward construction, easy to manufacture, and store - fundamental characteristics for the intended industrial production at the time.
This piece illustrated several interior projects and advertisements in Brazilian magazines, such as Casa e Jardim cover, one of the most influential magazines of interior design and lifestyle in the 1950s and 1960s.
A similar design was produced during the same period in another armchair, using an iron structure instead of wood – which represents the rational thought present in Hauner and Eisler's creations, using similar forms to create several different final products.
